Main Responsibilities
- Work closely with the regional nursing, operational and GP team members to ensure all targets are met in line with current guidelines and standards within national service frameworks.
- Act within professional boundaries, providing care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care.
- Demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice.
- Demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process.
- Work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as required.
- Support the Regional Lead Nurse and act as a deputy as required to ensure a high level of quality and standards at all times.
- Involved with the implementation and monitoring of all clinical aspects by demonstrating clinical excellence in conjunction with the site clinical lead and assist with the implementation of any nursing / ACHP redesign and quality strategies to ensure a high quality nursing / AHCP team.
The Ideal Candidate
- First Level UK registered nurse / Registered AHCP with at least 2 years post qualified experience.
- Non‑medical Prescriber.
- Demonstrates sound evidence of academic links.
- Extensive clinical experience in Primary Care Health settings and managing nursing teams.
- Understanding of the Lead Role.
