Functional Assessor - Nurse, Physio, Paramedic or OT

Hybrid Working (2 days from home/3 days in the Assessment Centre)

If you're a clinician with broad experience across multiple adult conditions and want structured work with predictable hours, this role offers a alternative to traditional practice.

If your experience has been focused on a single speciality or limited patient group, this role is unlikely to be the right fit.

This is not a hands‑on clinical role. It is report-based and requires strong report writing skills and comfort with structured frameworks.

The Role

As a Functional Assessor with Ingeus, you'll use your clinical reasoning to assess how health conditions impact daily living.

You will:

  • Conduct telephone, video or face‑to‑face assessments
  • Review medical evidence and complete clinical triage
  • Use focused questioning and active listening
  • Produce clear, structured reports to strict standards that enable DWP decision making.

What You Need

To be considered, you must have:

  • NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions
  • Minimum 12 months' recent UK post‑registration experience
  • Have been practising as a clinician in the UK over the last 12 months.
  • Experience working with a wide range of adult conditions across different clinical scenarios
  • Strong written communication skills and be comfortable using computers.
  • High attention to detail and objectivity

Training & Working Pattern

  • 6 months supported training to achieve DWP approval
  • Hybrid working post‑training
  • Full‑time hours with predictable schedule

Pay & Benefits

  • Up to 10% annual bonus (paid quarterly)
  • Starting salary - £46,813.50. Salary at 12 months - £48,813.50 + potential to earn an additional £2000 local bonus for this site.
  • Further salary uplifts aligned to new skills & development will continue to apply from year 2.

  • 25 days leave + BH
