Lecturer (Teaching) Learning Disabilities Nursing in Coventry

This role is based at our Coventry University Scarborough Campus. As a Lecturer (Teaching) in Learning Disabilities Nursing, you will undertake teaching and course co-ordination while supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional courses to ensure students have an effective learning experience. Based onsite at Coventry University in Scarborough, you will work closely with other academic colleagues to enrich the student learning and teaching experience and embed research, enterprise and professional context where appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Teach on HE level 4-7 modules and courses, including curation, adaptation, and creation of teaching materials.
• Deliver diverse learning sessions and support students through informal and formal communication.
• Support the design, implementation, ratification, and quality assurance of student assessment.
• Prepare and disseminate formative and summative feedback.
• Facilitate simulated practice learning activities.
• Act as Academic Assessor and support course recruitment activities such as interviews and open days.
• Uphold high standards of academic integrity in all aspects of teaching, learning and assessment.

Qualifications

• Active NMC registration as a Learning Disabilities Nurse.
• Practice Assessor training and experience supporting student nurses.
• Master’s degree in an appropriate subject or Honours Degree with a relevant professional qualification and/or membership.
• Teaching qualification or willingness to acquire one.
• PhD or active membership of an appropriate professional body (advantageous).

• Demonstrable experience of successful teaching at higher education levels 4-7 in Learning Disabilities Nursing, either within higher education or clinical practice.
