RCM are recruiting for a Mechanical Project Manager - Immediately Required.

RCM Ltd are partnered with a privately owned, Building Services contractor located within the East Midlands. Delivering services throughout the UK for clients within the Commercial and Residential Sectors. Specialising in mechanical HVAC installations to oversee projects ranging from small split air conditioning to large commercial and residential HVAC solutions.

This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage projects from initiation to completion while ensuring efficiency, quality and client satisfaction.

As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Oversee mechanical installations, ensuring they meet specifications and high-quality standards
  • Lead and manage the team to meet deadlines and achieve a smooth project handover
  • Provide regular reports to the Mechanical Director on a weekly basis
  • Prepare cost estimates for potential tender opportunities
  • Supervise project from inception to handover, ensuring seamless execution
  • Coordinate material procurement and site delivery to prevent delays in MEP installations
  • Attend project initiation meetings, manage all mechanical aspects, and ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards
  • Develop procurement schedules, liaise with suppliers and subcontractors, and oversee equipment delivery
  • Ensure all work adheres to relevant legislation, codes of practice, and quality standards
  • Supervise teams and coordinate stakeholders to drive project success
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and the team members
  • Manage direct staff and subcontractors to optimise project efficiency and outcomes

As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be required to have the following:

  • Experience working for an MEP or Building Services Contractor, with some background in estimating
  • Demonstrated ability to manage mechanical engineering projects in building services, ensuring timely delivery within budget
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and plumbing
  • NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering
  • CSCS Managers Card

Working Hours:

  • Contacted 40 hours per week
