Your primary responsibility will be to lead product ownership, delivery governance and project execution, ensuring that business priorities are translated into clear roadmaps, well-managed delivery plans and measurable outcomes.
You will act as a critical link between internal customers, senior stakeholders and the internal delivery teams, ensuring that technology-enabled change is aligned to business need, delivered with pace and embedded effectively across the Group.
A core part of this role is helping to drive RCI Group’s wider AI agenda and adoption.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the definition and ongoing management of the Group product strategy and roadmap, with particular focus on Horizon and other digital transformation initiatives.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders and internal customers across RCI Group to understand priorities, challenges and opportunities, translating these into clear product and project requirements.
- Own the prioritisation of product backlogs, delivery plans and change activity, ensuring that work is aligned to strategic objectives and delivers measurable value.
- Provide leadership and line management to members of the delivery team as the structure evolves, supporting capability development, clear accountability and effective ways of working.
- Establish and maintain delivery governance, standards and reporting across product and project initiatives, ensuring clarity of scope, ownership, risks, dependencies and progress.
- Work closely with project teams, product owners, technical colleagues and businesses to ensure technology solutions are practical, scalable and aligned with business requirements and objectives.
- Develop and evaluate business cases for proposed changes and improvements, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to support prioritisation and decision-making.
- Create, oversee and maintain clear documentation for product direction, delivery plans, business requirements, processes and decisions, ensuring alignment across teams and product owners.
- Facilitate communication between businesses, internal customers, IT teams and delivery colleagues, ensuring mutual understanding and effective collaboration.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of implemented solutions, using feedback, adoption measures and performance insight to drive continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in product management, delivery methods, technology and AI, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, user experience and business outcomes.
- Champion the adoption of AI across the business and within Horizon, identifying where it can add value, such as automating manual and repetitive processes, surfacing insights from data, accelerating requirements gathering and documentation, and embedding intelligent, AI-driven features into the system itself.
Qualifications and skills
- Proven experience in a senior product, project delivery, programme management or digital transformation role.
- Strong understanding of product ownership, roadmap management, prioritisation and delivery governance.
- Experience leading or coordinating cross-functional teams, ideally including direct line management or coaching responsibilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision‑making skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into practical delivery plans.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders and non‑technical internal customers.
- Experience creating clear business cases, requirements, delivery documentation and reporting that support informed decision‑making.
- Familiarity with business process mapping, workflow analysis and continuous improvement methods.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, changing environment, balancing strategic direction with hands‑on delivery leadership.
- An interest in technology, AI and digital transformation, with the ability to identify where innovation can deliver practical business value.
