We are looking for an experienced IT Operations Manager to join the RCI Group, an organisation committed to improving lives through technology, data and care. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for ensuring the smooth and secure delivery of IT services that support thousands of frontline professionals and service users across the UK.
As IT Operations Manager, you will oversee day to day IT service delivery across several Group businesses, each operating in complex and regulated environments. You will lead the operational relationship with multiple Managed Service Providers, ensuring that systems and services remain reliable, resilient and aligned with business priorities.
You will take ownership of IT performance, governance and continuous improvement, ensuring that all incidents, risks and service changes are managed effectively. Working closely with business leaders, you will translate operational needs into practical technology solutions, helping clinical and administrative teams work efficiently and safely.
Reporting directly to the Group CIO, you will play an integral role in shaping how IT enables our strategic ambitions. This includes contributing to digital transformation, strengthening cybersecurity and resilience, and embedding consistent IT standards across the organisation.
This position is well suited to someone who enjoys balancing strategy with hands on delivery. You will have the confidence to manage third party providers, the curiosity to find better ways of working and the leadership to drive service excellence across the Group.
What you’ll bring
- Proven background in IT service management and vendor or MSP oversight
- Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks, service governance and risk management
- Experience in regulated or healthcare settings where compliance and reliability are key
- Familiarity with cybersecurity, business continuity and data protection best practice
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- A strategic mindset combined with the ability to deliver operational results
