Join to apply for the Communications Manager role at RCI Group

This is a central role within our Sales and Marketing function based in Stevenage. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will support our service businesses across the Group and shape how a growing organisation communicates internally and externally.

RCI Group delivers purpose‑led services that make a real difference in the communities we serve. As we continue to grow, clear, consistent and high‑quality communication is essential. The Communications Manager ensures our messaging, campaigns and content properly reflect our services, values and impact.

About the role

As Communications Manager you will be responsible for planning, delivering and measuring marketing and communications activity across the Group.

Responsibilities

  • You will develop and own annual marketing plans aligned to organisational priorities, working closely with leadership teams to shape content, messaging and overall communication strategy.
  • You will provide insight and recommendations that inform future planning and budget decisions, ensuring marketing activity supports both business development and workforce priorities.
  • You will lead the delivery of multi‑channel campaigns across digital, print and events. This includes creating engaging, well‑written content for websites, social media, newsletters and marketing collateral, with particular focus on LinkedIn and our website platforms.
  • You will manage digital channels day to day, ensuring content is relevant, timely and aligned to brand standards.
  • Brand and digital management will be a core part of your remit. You will maintain and develop multiple websites, ensure brand consistency across all platforms and materials, manage Canva templates, and create high‑quality visual assets and documents. You will also support internal brand education and help teams across the Group access and use brand assets correctly.
  • Internal communications is a significant element of the role. You will establish structured communication approaches that keep colleagues informed and engaged, support internal initiatives and cultural alignment, and build understanding of our mission and achievements. This will involve working closely with leaders and teams to gather stories, updates and insights from across the organisation.
  • You will track and report on campaign performance and engagement metrics, using data to refine content, channels and overall effectiveness. You will provide regular, clear updates to leadership on marketing outcomes and support audit, compliance and quality reporting where required.

Success in this role looks like

  • A clear, delivered marketing plan aligned to Group priorities
  • Increased visibility and engagement across digital channels
  • Strong website performance and social media growth
  • A consistent and effective internal communication rhythm
  • Clear and consistent brand application across documents and platforms
  • Robust reporting and insight into campaign performance

Who we are looking for

This role suits an experienced marketing and communications professional who is confident operating at group level and working closely with senior stakeholders.

  • You will bring strong writing and content creation skills, advanced Canva capability, and experience managing websites using WordPress and Elementor.
  • You will be comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines, highly organised, and confident engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience within healthcare or the public sector is beneficial but not essential.
  • Knowledge of procurement, commissioning, SEO or digital optimisation would be advantageous, but the ability to deliver high‑quality, purposeful communications is what matters most.
  • You will be proactive, creative and organised, able to think strategically while remaining hands‑on in delivery. You will be collaborative, adaptable and aligned to values‑driven, purpose‑led service delivery.
