Responsibilities
- The Lifestyle‑Activity Lead will plan, organise, promote and implement meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities for all residents in line with the Centre’s principles, policies, procedures and best practice guidelines for relationship‑centered care, clinical care and dementia care.
- Lead and motivate the team to engage in activity provision.
- Deliver approximately 80% of working time delivering vibrant activities across all units.
- Design, develop and publish the home newsletter reporting on events and activities.
- Maintain accurate activity records and update them regularly.
Qualifications / Education
- NVQ HSC Level 3 or QCF HSC Award 3 (not essential)
Experience
- Proven track record of planning, coordinating and motivating a team for activities.
- Experience organising and scheduling programmes of events or activities.
- Experience working with older people, including those living with dementia.
- Experience delivering high‑quality relationship‑centered care.
Skills / Knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication and clinical skills.
- Competent in core Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, capable of working under pressure.
- Data management skills for record‑keeping and review.
- Passionate and keen to develop new skills.
- Listening skills.
