Romford Care Centre is looking for a LifestyleâActivity Lead to join our friendly team and enhance the lived experience of our residents.
Responsibilities
- Lead a lifestyle program ensuring meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities for all residents.
- Motivate, inspire and mobilise team members to participate.
- Deliver 80% of the time in delivering vibrant activities across all units of the home.
- Lead on the design, development and implementation of the home newsletter that reports on the home's events and activities of interest.
- Ensure records relating to activities are accurate and up to date.
- Lead activities for resident groups such as those living in residential communities, those living with dementia and those who are bedâbound and are not able to easily participate in the home programme.
Qualifications & Education
- NVQ HSC Level 3 or QCF HSC Award 3 (not essential).
Experience
- Proven track record of organising, coordinating and motivating other staff.
- Experience of organising and scheduling programmes of events or activities.
- Experience of working and/or engaging with older people (both living with and without dementia).
- Experience delivering high quality relationshipâcentered care.
Skills & Knowledge
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and clinical skills.
- Knowledge of and competence in core Microsoft Office applications.
- Passionate and keen to develop new skills.
- Listening skills.
- Data management (for record keeping and review).
- Ability to organise efficiently and prioritise workloads whilst under pressure.

- Reliable, flexible, adaptable, punctual.
- Will and able to work outside the standard work hours.
