RCH Care Homes Brentwood Care Centre is looking for a Food & Beverage Assistant to support their care and catering team. The role involves welcoming residents, visitors, and ensuring a high standard of service and quality. Base Pay Range Salary is based on skills and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Food & Beverage areas are clean, tidy, and well stocked at all times.
  • Maintain hot and cold beverages and snacks.
  • Greet residents, relatives and visitors warmly, offering refreshments and presenting a professional image.
  • Encourage and support residents’ choice and independence with eating, drinking, and serving themselves.
  • Liaise with Managers, Seniors, and Lifestyle teams regarding activities, visitors, and events.
  • Plan and organise food and beverage stock for activities, visitors and events.
  • Assist with functions as required.
  • Wash crockery and cutlery to stock food service areas and beverage trolleys.
  • Support the Lifestyle Team with food and beverage provision for activities, visits, and events.
  • Ensure dining areas are well presented for each meal with adequate equipment.
  • Encourage residents to participate in preparing dining areas and meal service.
  • Sought and communicate all feedback to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide residents with room service and regular opportunities for refreshments.
  • Ensure all food and beverage areas comply with HACCP and food safety.
  • Ensure all documentation related to food service and delivery is complete.
  • Monitor and audit resident experience, contributing to the improvement of standards.
  • Communicate stock levels to the Head Chef of crockery, utensils and provisions to maintain sufficient stock.

Ideal Candidate

Ideal candidate will have a hospitality background, a warm and welcoming nature, a can-do attitude, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Care home experience is not essential.
