The purpose of the SCA is to assess a GP trainee’s ability to integrate and apply skills appropriate for general practice. It is a standardised clinical OSCE delivered in the GP trainees practice under invigilated conditions.
Responsibilities
- Support the Examinations Manager with the preparation and delivery of the SCA live examinations.
- Manage administrative, communication, and technical tasks to ensure the smooth running of examination days.
- Provide up‑to‑date information to all participants.
Qualifications
- Experience in administration and documenting processes.
- Ability to identify areas for process improvement.
- Confidence in using IT systems.
- Strong communication skills, particularly in supporting the SCA IT helpline.
- Effective problem‑solving ability.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
- Flexible and able to juggle conflicting priorities.
