Intertek Electrical is looking for a Graduate EMC & Radio Test Engineer to help underpin the impressive growth plans for the UK business. Reporting to the Lab Manager, you will be in a lab-based role in Leatherhead, Surrey.
What You Will Bring to The Team:
- Hands on EMC testing experience to EN, IEC, ISO, ETSI and CISPR standards
- Hands on Radio testing experience to EN, ETSI, AS, FCC, RSS and Japan Radio Law standards
- Hands on experience of operating test equipment for the purposes of conducting Radiated Emissions, Radiated Immunity, Conducted Emissions, Conducted Immunity and Radio tests
- Experience working within an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited test laboratory environment
- You are a motivated self-starter
- You can work under minimum supervision
- You are analytical and able to solve technical problems
- You can communicate effectively with customers and other members of the team
- You have excellent time management skills and can complete projects to a set timescale
Qualifications:
- Suitable degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent higher education or experience
About The Opportunity:
As a Graduate EMC & Radio Test Engineer, you will be joining a team of highly experienced EMC and Radio test engineers who deliver testing on Medical, Lighting, Information Technology & Telecommunications Equipment, Laboratory & Industrial Equipment, Household Appliances & Electronic Equipment, Energy Storage and Fire Detection & Alarm System products in accordance with a range of international EMC and Radio test standards.
Key Activities:
- Interpret and follow test plans
- Operate test equipment for the purposes of conducting Radiated Emissions, Radiated Immunity, Conducted Emissions, Conducted Immunity and Radio tests on customer products
- Test moderate to highly complex customer products in accordance with a range of EMC and Radio standards
- Document project test data and test notes
- Write technical test reports
- Provide weekly project status updates to customers
- Working to a schedule and complete projects within set timescales
- Working in accordance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 and the Intertek Quality Management System
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers
