We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Small Works Engineer to join a growing team. In this role, you’ll deliver small-scale fire safety projects and maintenance tasks, ensuring systems are reliable, compliant, and optimised – helping to keep people and businesses safe every day.

What you’ll do:

• Install and commission small to medium-scale fire alarm projects (addressable and non-addressable systems)
• Commission systems from a range of manufacturers
• Review project specifications, drawings, and documentation to plan and deliver high-quality outcomes
• Provide professional, solutions-focused customer service
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently
• Complete reports, timesheets, and expenses accurately
• Attend appointments punctually and maintain a clean work environment
• Communicate promptly with the office about any major system issues or site challenges
• Represent the company professionally on all customer sites

Who we’re looking for:

• Advanced experience with fire alarm systems
• FIA Units 1, 2/3, and 5
• Proven installation and commissioning skills
• Solid understanding of electrical installation procedures in fire and security
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to build trust with clients
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• High attention to detail, initiative, and professionalism
