This new independent creative agency is looking for a Senior Designer to join the team on an initial 4-week freelance engagement, with strong potential to extend to 3 months or to move into a full-time role if the fit is right.

This brief is specific. The core requirements are non-negotiable, so please read carefully. This is not an Art Director who can design. This is not a conceptual lead. This is not a motion-first creative. This is a craft-led, taste-driven Senior Designer role. The agency already has strong conceptual leadership in place. Creative Directors are leading platform thinking and big campaign ideas. Motion capability is covered. What is needed now is a designer with exceptional taste and serious craft — someone who elevates everything they touch.

Mandatory Requirements
  • Impeccable taste. The work must feel contemporary, premium and culturally current. Not corporate. Not system-heavy. Not safe.
  • Strong editorial design instincts. You understand layout, hierarchy and pacing. You know how to make design feel intelligent and elevated rather than templated.
  • Obsessive attention to craft. Spacing, kerning, grids, proportion, balance. Nothing feels accidental.
  • A strong point of view. You can defend your design decisions clearly and intelligently. You have rationale, not just preference.
  • Confidence working within brand worlds. You know how to evolve and elevate a brand without making it feel generic, mechanical or over-designed.
  • Experience delivering high-end brand and campaign assets across social, print, digital and presentation environments. Comfortable designing for cultural brands. Not just FMCG or corporate marketing work. Your portfolio must demonstrate sophistication and restraint. Less noise. More confidence. Elevated, composed, intentional work.
Preferred but Not Essential
  • Experience in visual identity systems is beneficial, but this is not a deal-breaker.
  • Conceptual campaign leadership is not required.
  • Motion skills are not required.

You’ll be shaping high-profile brand and campaign assets across multiple touchpoints. This is hands-on design — refining, elevating and bringing cohesion and polish to brand outputs. You will be working inside a growing creative studio where standards are high and taste matters.

The Booking
  • Initial 4-week freelance engagement
  • Strong potential to extend to 3 months
  • Potential to convert to a permanent role
  • Up to £400 per day

This is an opportunity for a designer who takes pride in craft, cares deeply about detail, and wants their work to feel culturally sharp and premium. If that sounds like you, I would love to see your portfolio.
