We are seeking a high-performing Recruitment Consultant to join our team, operating across both:
- Delivery into existing, high-value client accounts (warm roles, repeat business, established relationships)
- New business development, identifying and securing new clients, projects, and hiring requirements
This role has a strong balance between account delivery, candidate generation, and revenue growth. You will play a key role in expanding RC Fornax’s footprint within the defence and engineering markets while ensuring high-quality delivery across existing programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Delivery (Existing Accounts - 75%)
- Deliver against live vacancies across established defence and engineering clients
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and hiring managers
- Ensure high-quality, timely candidate submissions aligned to client expectations
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from briefing through to offer and onboarding
- Maintain consistent delivery standards across multiple concurrent roles
- Business Development (360 Growth - 25%)
- Identify, engage, and win new clients within defence, engineering, and adjacent sectors
- Develop and execute targeted business development strategies
- Generate new vacancies through proactive outreach, networking, and market mapping
- Build long-term client partnerships and position RC Fornax as a trusted supplier
- Support growth of key accounts into larger, multi-role or programme-based engagements
- Candidate Management
- Source and engage high-quality candidates (active and passive)
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline aligned to market demand
- Deliver a professional and consistent candidate experience
- Manage expectations throughout interview and offer stages
- Market & Strategy
- Stay informed on defence, engineering, and recruitment market trends
- Contribute to internal strategy around client growth and talent attraction
- Work closely with leadership on account development and delivery planning
Requirements
- Proven experience in a recruitment role (ideally within defence, engineering, or technical markets)
- Demonstrated ability in both client delivery and business development
- Strong commercial mindset with a track record of generating revenue
- Ability to manage multiple roles and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working with regulated environments (e.g. defence, government, engineering) is highly desirable
