Key Responsibilities
- Support, design, deploy, and maintain enterprise infrastructure across Azure cloud and on-premises environments.
- Administer and optimise Microsoft Azure services, virtualisation platforms, and hosting technologies.
- Manage and support Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Deploy, configure, and administer Kubernetes and Open Shift container platforms.
- Implement and support Infrastructure as Code (Ia C) solutions using technologies such as Terraform, ARM, Bicep, or Ansible.
- Support incident, problem, change, and service management activities, providing troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex issues.
- Develop automation solutions using Power Shell, Bash, Python, or similar technologies to improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Experience supporting, administering, or engineering enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
- Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
- Understanding of networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, routing, and load balancing.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
- Scripting experience using Power Shell, Bash, Python, or similar technologies.
- Understanding of security best practices, access management, and secure infrastructure principles.
- Defence, Aerospace, MOD, or other highly regulated industry experience highly desirable.
