RC Fornax, a veteran-owned engineering consultancy operating within the aerospace and defence sectors, is looking for Senior RF/Microwave Engineer to join a growing hardware engineering team focused on advanced radar systems. This role involves leading design and development of cutting-edge RF systems to support next-generation defence technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead RF feasibility studies and provide architectural recommendations for future radar systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Antenna, Receiver, Digital Hardware, Systems, Software, Firmware, and Test functions.
  • Own system or functional blocks of RF PCB assemblies, ensuring robust design, documentation, configuration management, and progress reporting.
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews.
  • Tackle complex integration challenges throughout the engineering lifecycle.
  • Degree-qualified in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience in RF circuit design and microwave techniques.
  • Proficient in RF simulation tools (e.g. ADS, AWR, CST) and schematic capture.
  • Skilled in RF measurements, troubleshooting, and lab work.
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
  • Radar development experience in antenna or receiver systems.
  • Expertise in architectural definition, rapid prototyping, layout support, and hardware requirement specification.
  • Experience with design verification and test planning.

Due to the nature of the project, the successful candidate must hold active SC

Clearance or be eligible to obtain SC Clearance at the point of onboarding.
