RC Fornax, a veteran-owned engineering consultancy operating within the aerospace and defence sectors, is looking for a Project Management Office (PMO) Coordinator to provide essential support to Project Managers and the wider delivery team. The role focuses on project coordination, governance, reporting and data analysis, ensuring accurate and timely information flows across our projects. Working closely with Project Managers and business stakeholders, you will support project reporting, forecasting and project controls, while also assisting in the management of lower-complexity Time & Materials engagements.
Main Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers with the coordination and administration of projects, ensuring accurate and timely project information.
- Prepare and maintain project and portfolio dashboards, reports and performance metrics using Zoho Analytics, SQL and Microsoft Excel.
- Analyse project, resource and financial data to support forecasting, utilisation tracking and management decision-making.
- Monitor project performance against schedules, budgets, resource plans and key milestones, escalating risks, issues and variances where required.
- Support the delivery of lower-complexity Time & Materials engagements, including resource coordination, client reporting, purchase order tracking, timesheet approvals and invoicing support.
- Ensure compliance with project governance processes, including the review and coordination of Gate documentation and approvals.
- Support project mobilisation activities, including project setup, reporting structures, document control and project documentation.
- Maintain RAID logs and support effective communication between project teams, clients and internal stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve PMO processes, reporting capabilities and data quality across the organisation.
Requirements
Essential
- Experience working within a PMO, project support, project coordination or similar project delivery environment.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting, analysis and dashboard creation.
- Working knowledge of SQL, with the ability to create and maintain queries for reporting and analysis purposes.
- Experience producing project, operational or management reports using business intelligence or data visualisation tools.
- Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive, adaptable and solution-focused approach.
Desirable
- Experience using Zoho Analytics to develop reports and dashboards.
- Experience supporting resource planning, utilisation reporting and project financial tracking.
- Knowledge of project governance frameworks and stage gate processes.
- PRINCE2 Foundation, APM PFQ or equivalent qualification.
