RC Fornax is seeking an experienced Product Safety Engineer to support safety and technical authorities in delivering product safety evidence and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards.
Due to the nature of this project, the successful candidate must be eligible or hold SC Clearance and be a Sole British National.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement and deliver product and system safety engineering activities.
- Facilitate hazard and risk identification, analysis, and management.
- Generate safety artefacts such as Safety Plans, Hazard Logs, and Safety Case Reports.
- Ensure safety requirements are integrated from early design stages and maintained throughout.
- Act as the safety point of contact for project teams and attend safety committees.
- Strong knowledge of product safety management processes and legislation.
- Experience with MOD projects and standards (e.g., DEF Stan 00-056, IEC 61508).
- Skilled in hazard analysis techniques and lifecycle safety management.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Relevant engineering qualification and/or experience in safety management.
- Membership of a professional body; Chartered or working towards Chartered status.
