What you'll be doing:
- Designing and developing FPGA/Firmware solutions for advanced digital systems
- Deriving firmware requirements and architectures from system-level requirements
- Working across the full development lifecycle, from concept through to verification and integration
- Developing high-speed interface solutions including PCIe, Ethernet and JESD
- Collaborating with Systems, Hardware and Software teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Supporting testing, validation and qualification activities
What we're looking for:
- Strong FPGA/Firmware development experience using Xilinx, Verilog, SystemVerilog, TCL and UVM
- Experience with Xilinx 7 Series, UltraScale, Intel (Altera) or Microsemi FPGA architectures
- Knowledge of high-speed interfaces including PCIe, Ethernet and JESD
- Experience using MATLAB/Simulink and model-based design techniques
- Ability to derive detailed firmware architectures from system requirements
- Experience working to a structured development process such as DO-254 or similar
- Exposure to cryptography, anti-tamper technologies, AI/ML or signal processing would be advantageous
Requirements:
- HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent industry experience
