These are full-time, permanent roles with hybrid working, and a salary of £59,961 - £65,471 per annum (up to £73,442 for exceptional candidates).

The role
This is an exciting time to join our finance team at the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
We are looking to build a world-class finance team to support all our services navigate the challenging financial environment in which local authorities operate. With the lowest Council Tax of any unitary authority outside of London we have a record of delivering efficiently. However, we cannot stand still and strengthening the finance team to meet future demands is a priority.
This role will report to the Head of Finance Business Partnering and help lead a team of management accountants deliver insightful budget monitoring to the senior management team and elected members. You will also be integral to the budget setting process, working alongside other finance colleagues and service managers. Technical skills are important, but equally we are looking for individuals who are comfortable building relationships with non-finance colleagues. A willingness to adopt innovative approaches is also key, as we look to drive improvements in the council\'s financial management. We are also looking for team players who are willing to spend time coaching our cadre of CIPFA graduate trainees.
We have a number of roles available, and will be open to discussion with successful candidates as to which area will suit their career ambitions.
Working is hybrid, but a presence in the office on average of two days week is desirable as building a motivated team will be critical to success. There will be expectation that business critical meetings are prioritised to be attended in person.
