This is an opportunity to join a business at a genuinely exciting moment in its evolution. Following a divestiture from a global parent organisation, the site is entering a new phase – building independent systems, shaping ways of working, and embedding a health and safety culture that already has strong momentum. It’s a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with the backing of experienced leaders and real buy‑in from the business.
Health & Safety here isn’t an afterthought. Over the last 18 months the site has made significant progress, and this role is about nurturing that progress while helping shape what comes next.
The Opportunity:
- Reporting directly to the Site Director, you’ll play a central role in guiding the site through change.
- This includes supporting the set‑up of independent H&S systems, influencing global vs local decisions, and partnering with colleagues across the UK and US.
- You’ll have visibility, trust, and autonomy.
- This is a role for someone who enjoys engaging stakeholders, influencing without hierarchy, and being seen as a collaborative expert rather than a gatekeeper.
- You’ll also support and develop a junior H&S colleague who is early in their career—an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys coaching and setting standards, without a heavy management structure.
What We’re Looking For:
- Solid Health & Safety experience within pharma, biologics, or sterile manufacturing.
- Biologics exposure is highly desirable but any pharmaceutical experience would work, as long as there is a desire to learn and close the gap in process knowledge.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills – comfortable influencing without direct authority.
- Confident operating in environments undergoing change, separation, or system build.
- Previous people leadership is helpful, not essential.
