QC Supervisor
Join a thriving team as a QC Supervisor at an esteemed international pharmaceutical company in this newly created permanent role.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QC professional looking to take the next step into leadership.
You'll be responsible for supervising a team of QC Chemists and Analysts, providing coaching and technical guidance, coordinating laboratory activities, and deputising for the QC Manager when required.
Working within a GMP-regulated laboratory, you'll play a key role in ensuring testing is completed to high quality standards while supporting the ongoing development of the team.
The ideal candidate will have previous pharmaceutical QC experience and strong knowledge of analytical techniques such as HPLC and GC.
This position involves working 8 hour days from 6am or 8am – with flexibility required for the applicant to be available to work either shift,
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the QC laboratory team.
- Coach, mentor, and develop QC Chemists.
- Ensure testing is performed in compliance with GMP requirements and laboratory procedures.
- Support laboratory investigations, deviations, and OOS activities.
- Review data and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with workload planning and resource allocation.
- Deputise for the QC Manager when required.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.
- Key Requirements
- Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Circa 5 years+ experience working within a pharmaceutical GMP QC laboratory.
- Hands-on experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC and GC.
- Previous supervisory, mentoring, or team leadership is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of GMP and quality compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
