Are you a skilled journalist with a background in pharmaceutical or clinical reporting and a passion for medico-politico news? This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and respected online health publication that provides trusted, timely news to UK-based doctors.
As part of a collaborative editorial team, you’ll break and write daily stories on the most important developments in the UK healthcare system, pharmaceutical industry, and health policy – helping healthcare professionals stay informed and ahead of the curve.
Please note: You must have journalism experience in pharma, clinical or medical policy reporting.
What you’ll be doing:
- Writing fast, accurate stories on medico-political, clinical and pharmaceutical news
- Covering policy shifts, clinical trials, regulatory developments and sector updates
- Attending UK medical conferences and writing news and feature content
- Building strong relationships with clinicians, PR contacts and medical institutions
- Generating story ideas, pitching, and contributing to editorial planning
- Maintaining the publication’s high standards of editorial integrity
What you’ll bring:
- At least 3 years of journalism experience in pharma, clinical or health policy reporting
- Strong understanding of the UK medical landscape and healthcare system
- Excellent writing and research skills, with a keen eye for relevant, impactful stories
- Confidence in interviewing clinicians, academics and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a remote, collaborative team.
- A science or health policy background is a plus, but not essential
