Data Engineer | Healthcare Data & AI Pipelines
Do you enjoy solving genuinely difficult data problems?
We're supporting a growing London-based healthtech startup that is building data pipelines for pharmaceutical and life sciences organisations. Rather than maintaining existing platforms, you'll help design, build and scale data products from the ground up.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll work directly with messy, unstructured healthcare data, transforming it into clean, usable datasets while leveraging AI tools for extraction, classification and validation.
What You'll Be Doing
β Building production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL
β Integrating AI capabilities into data workflows for extraction, classification and data quality improvement
β Designing schemas, data models and normalisation processes
β Solving entity resolution and deduplication challenges
β Developing large-scale data acquisition and scraping solutions
β Contributing across the stack, including delivering simple user-facing interfaces where required
What We're Looking For
β Strong experience building and owning data pipelines end-to-end
β Python and SQL expertise in production environments
β Experience using AI tooling and APIs within engineering workflows
β Data acquisition, scraping or ingestion experience
β Understanding of healthcare, life sciences or pharmaceutical data
β Comfortable working in a startup environment with high autonomy
Why Join?
- Build products from day one rather than maintain legacy systems
- Work directly with founders and influence technical direction
- Solve complex real-world healthcare data challenges
- Join a business moving quickly with significant growth ambitions
Additional Information
