Engineering Manager

If you are interested in working on a small site that gives you a hands on, varied leadership role, this could be the perfect next opportunity for your career.

With a number of exciting business wide initiatives from new product introductions and operational increases, through to expansions and new site launches, this leading pharmaceutical business is in a very exciting period of growth and transition.

This specific hire is for their site in South London / North Surrey and will take full accountability for a small team and be responsible for maintenance, servicing and take a strong involvement in engineering projects.

To take on this role you do not needto be an engineering veteran – it’s a two person team and therefore the key is that you can get stuck in and are willing to take on a number of the duties directly on a day to day basis.

Full training will be provided in the pharmaceutical equipment and processes.

The standard hours are 7am to 3pm Mon-Fri – but you need to be flexible as there will be call outs (including nights and weekends). Overtime/TOIL is available.

Key experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years hands on experience in a hands on engineering / maintenance setting – must be within manufacturing.
  • Pharmaceutical and/or GMP experience would be a nice to have but is not essential
  • Supervisory experience ideal but not essential if you have the depth of technical experience and the capability to manage
  • Must live (or be willing to live) within one hour of the facility due to call out requirements
  • Mechanical and electrical engineering capability would be beneficial
