Are you looking for a leadership role where you can shape translational development strategy and influence critical programme decisions from early discovery through clinical development?
We’re partnering with a highly regarded drug development consultancy that works closely with innovative biotech and pharmaceutical companies to address complex development challenges. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a senior scientific leader with expertise in translational PK/PD modelling, pharmacometrics, and model-informed drug development.
In this role, you’ll combine scientific leadership, strategic consulting, and technical expertise to help clients translate preclinical findings into effective clinical development strategies. Working directly with sponsors and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll play a pivotal role in guiding dose selection, study design, and development decisions across a diverse portfolio of programmes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading translational PK/PD modelling and pharmacometric strategies across preclinical and clinical development programmes
- Applying model-informed drug development principles to support decision-making from candidate selection through late-stage development
- Developing and integrating PK, PK/PD, exposure-response, and mechanistic models to inform programme strategy
- Advising clients on dose selection, first-in-human projections, clinical trial design, and development planning
- Providing scientific leadership across multidisciplinary project teams, including clinical pharmacology, pharmacometrics, DMPK, statistics, and regulatory functions
- Supporting regulatory submissions and contributing to interactions with global health authorities
- Mentoring and developing scientists while fostering technical excellence and innovation
- Building strong client relationships and acting as a trusted scientific advisor
- Contributing to business development activities and helping expand the organisation’s translational modelling capabilities
What We’re Looking For
- Extensive experience in translational sciences, PK/PD modelling, pharmacometrics, and clinical pharmacology within biotech, pharmaceutical, or consulting environments
- Strong understanding of model-informed drug development and translational medicine principles
- Experience applying quantitative approaches to support candidate selection, dose optimisation, and clinical development strategy
- Expertise in PK/PD, exposure-response modelling, and population-based modelling approaches
- Proficiency with industry-standard modelling tools such as NONMEM, Monolix, R, Phoenix, or equivalent platforms
- Experience supporting regulatory interactions and quantitative components of regulatory submissions
- Proven ability to lead scientific projects and communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Previous experience mentoring teams and providing strategic scientific leadership
- Strong client-facing skills and commercial awareness
Why Consider This Opportunity?
This position offers a unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of translational science, pharmacometrics, and strategic drug development. You’ll work alongside leading experts, influence high-impact development decisions, and help innovative therapies progress from preclinical research into clinical development.
For scientists who enjoy combining technical excellence with leadership, client engagement, and wider development strategy, this represents an outstanding opportunity to make a meaningful impact across multiple programmes and therapeutic areas.
