I’m partnering with a fast-growing global healthcare education business looking for a Business Development Manager to help develop new relationships and commercial opportunities across Europe.
This is a new-business-focused role for someone who enjoys opening doors, building relationships and creating opportunities.
You may already be working within CME/IME or medical education, or come from a related background such as medical/scientific communications or medical publishing and be looking to develop your career further within medical education.
The role
Working closely with experienced senior leaders, you’ll:
- Build relationships with Medical Affairs teams across pharmaceutical companies
- Identify and develop new educational and commercial opportunities
- Proactively build your network across Europe
- Work with internal teams to develop proposals for new educational opportunities
- Attend medical congresses, scientific meetings and industry events
- Develop new supporter relationships and contribute to business growth
While Europe will be your initial focus, there will also be opportunities to contribute to wider global business development as the company continues to grow.
About you
I’d particularly like to hear from people with:
- Experience within CME/IME, medical education, medical/scientific communications or medical publishing
- A proactive approach to new business and relationship development
- Evidence of commercial success and creating new opportunities
- Confidence building relationships with senior stakeholders
- Strong communication skills and a consultative approach
- Curiosity, ambition and the motivation to develop your commercial career
An existing Medical Affairs network or direct CME/IME experience would be a real advantage. I’m also interested in speaking with strong commercial candidates from closely related sectors who have relevant experience and the ability to build relationships within Medical Affairs.
Why consider it?
You’ll be joining an ambitious, growing global healthcare education business where you can build your own network, create new opportunities and make a visible contribution to growth.
You’ll work alongside experienced medical education leaders, with the opportunity to deepen your expertise and take on greater commercial responsibility as you develop.
Alongside a £50,000–£60,000 basic salary, the role offers uncapped commission from Dollar One, rewarding the new business you generate from the outset.
