Job Specification: Welder / Fabricator Location: Denaby, South Yorkshire (commutable from Doncaster, Rotherham, and Sheffield) We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our client’s team in the Denaby area. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse steel products, with competitive pay, overtime options, and an immediate start available following a successful weld test. Role Details: * Hourly Pay: £13.50 – £15.00 per hour (based on experience) * Working Hours: * Monday to Friday: 8am – 4:30pm * Early finish at 2:30pm on Fridays if hours are made up earlier in the week * Overtime: Paid at time and a third after 40 hours Key Responsibilities: * Perform MIG welding and fabrication on a variety of steel components to a high standard. * Fabricate and assemble products including: * Staircases * Balustrades * Steel doors * Secondary steel components * Read, interpret, and work from detailed technical drawings and blueprints. * Measure, cut, shape, and join steel and metal materials accurately using appropriate tools and machinery. * Ensure all welds and fabrications meet quality and safety standards. * Inspect completed work for precision, functionality, and adherence to specifications. * Collaborate with the team to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results. * Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations. Requirements: * Proven hands-on experience in MIG welding and steel fabrication, with a portfolio of previous work preferred. * Ability to read and work from technical drawings, understanding specifications and requirements. * Proficiency in using welding and fabrication tools, such as grinders, saws, and other cutting and measuring equipment. * Must be happy working away whenn required * Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all work. * Knowledge of health and safety standards related to welding and fabrication. * Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team. * Positive attitude with a willingness to contribute to a collaborative work environment.
