Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. The main responsibility of this role will be driving a Refuse Collection Vehicle (RCV) to planned collection locations. However, flexibility is essential, as you may also be required to carry out other duties such as driving a box van or assisting with loading operations when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving a Refuse Collection Vehicle (RCV) to pre-planned collection locations safely and efficiently
- Carrying out alternative duties when required, including driving a box van or assisting with loading
- Completing daily vehicle checks in line with the Driver Operator Handbook
- Ensuring all required paperwork is accurate, up to date, and submitted daily
- Complying with all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies, including load security and weight limits
- Supervising and supporting your assigned team during operations
- Ensuring the carriageway is left clean and safe, including clearing any spillages
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Experience driving RCVs (desirable but not essential)
- Good communication skills
