Join us as a Regional Corporate Affairs Manager, North England. You will support the development and implementation of an effective external communications plan, which brings the vital role NatWest plays across all nations and regions of the UK to life.

This is a high-profile role that offers considerable exposure as well as the opportunity to make a significant impact. You will work from home some of the time, but you will also spend a minimum of 2 days per week working from the office.

What you will do:

  • Support the Head of Regional Affairs to deliver a compelling regional communications plan across North England, spanning media, political and other local stakeholders, aligned with our Group's purpose and strategic ambition.
  • Identify and flag local and regional issues that may impact our Group's reputation to inform decision making.
  • Ensure targeted and relevant communications and engagement within each region through stakeholder mapping and manage local engagements with elected officials, media and our Group representatives.
  • Provide support to the relevant Regional Board and regional engagement lead in the regional planning and execution phase.
  • Build and utilise essential relationships with relevant CA functions including Internal Communications, Public Policy, Strategy and Planning, as well as adjacent functions such as Marketing to develop fully integrated plans.
  • Work in partnership with all areas across the CA function to best support the delivery of the CA strategy.
  • Collaborate across the Regional Affairs team in the development of best-in-class solutions.
  • Utilise the resources of the broader CA teams to deliver on a regional basis.
  • Build necessary working relationships with local political and media stakeholders and audiences to ensure the successful execution of the region's plan.
  • Define and implement an effective communications plan within the relevant region including measurement against agreed objectives.

The skills you will need:

  • Demonstrated effective regional political and media stakeholder management, with experience of managing constituency level engagement.
  • A collaborative approach to facilitate working in a complex organisation with multiple stakeholders.
  • The ability to apply Project Management methodologies to create, manage and track plans.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organised, with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced and changeable environment.
  • The ability to use data analysis, reporting and insights to drive simplification and create efficiencies across systems, processes and budget.
