RBK London is an independent label established in 2012 that bridges the gap between able and disabled artists by fostering equal opportunities in music. Founded by CEO and Creative Director Mr. N Alexander, the company offers artist development, event management, fashion initiatives, and an online magazine to empower artists of all abilities. Positioned as the "Paralympics of the music industry," RBK London enables disabled individuals to record music, create unique brands, and build credible careers in the music industry. We are looking for an experienced and well-connected Music Plugger to work with independent artists and releases across a wide range of genres. This is a fixed-rate role paying £400 per artist release, ideal for someone who is proactive, organised, and passionate about breaking new music and establishing connection.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- You will be responsible for planning and executing full promotional plug campaigns, including:
- Playlist plugging (editorial, independent, curator & influencer playlists)
- Press & media outreach (online magazines, premieres & features)
- Proven experience as a music plugger or in music promotion
- Connects to commercial radio station and urban background
- Strong industry contacts across multiple platforms
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Experience in club promotions
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Genuine passion for discovering and promoting new music.
- Securing artist airplay and releases
- Music tastemakers & influencers
- Genre-specific platforms and outlets
- Sync & industry outreach (where relevant)
- Campaign reporting and artist feedback
We work across all areas of music, including but not limited to: Pop, Hip-Hop, Rap, R&B, Afrobeats, Electronic, Dance, House, Techno, Drum & Bass, Indie, Rock, Alternative, Jazz, Soul, Classical, Experimental and emerging genres.
PAYMENT£400 fixed fee per artist plugging booking on a freelance/contract basis.
Qualifications- Proficiency in Music Performance and knowledge of the Music Industry
- Experience in Music Production and Music Education
- Strong connections within the Music Industry and familiarity with industry trends
- Excellent communication, networking, and promotional skills
- Ability to work independently and engage productively in an on-site setting
- Passion for advancing inclusivity and empowering artists of all abilities
