What you’ll be doing
The Events Sales team sets the tone for our guests to begin their Municipal story with our Heartists offering expert guidance to make every touch point meaningful, memorable and personalised. As a Wedding and Special Events Sales Agent you will listen, efficiently record and adapt to the changing requirements of a wide range of clients including groups, agents, individuals, families, corporate businesses, bridal parties, VIPs, OTA’s, 3rd party channels and stakeholders.
This role is contracted to 40 hours per week with varied shifts over 7 days, including weekends.
What We Need From You
We hire mostly on personality and potential. Here are a few of our requirements:
- A positive can do attitude and welcoming demeanor. Speak with all guests, agents and 3rd parties in a polite, hospitable and efficient manner, adhering to 5-star, Accor & MGallery brand standards and required timeframes.
- Maximise hotel sales and profitability through familiarity with and promotion of all services, room types, event capacity and hotel promotions.
- Present and showcase the hotel to potential clients during meetings and facility tours.
- Strong attention to detail, delivering accurate information and clear communication. Ability to draft contracts and function sheets that reflect guest requirements.
- Analytical and presentation skills; maintain statistics, client details, notes, profiles and company records.
- Adhere to advance purchase and deposit payment requirements and ensure daily banking balances. Follow all routes and post payments correctly in systems.
- Excellent teamwork and verbal and written communication; build relationships via telephone, email, booking systems and in-person meetings.
- 2 years of current reservation experience in a fast-paced hotel reservations department, ideally Accor branded.
