A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CHEF DE PARTIE AT OUR HOTEL

What you’ll be doing…

  • Take charge of the pastry section, crafting beautiful desserts and baked goods that impress with flavour, texture, and presentation.
  • Bring your creativity to every creation, ensuring each plate meets the highest standards of quality and consistency.
  • Keep the pastry kitchen running smoothly by prepping, baking, and organising with precision so every service is effortless.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team, communicating clearly to make sure every dish is ready at the right moment.
  • Maintain a spotless section at all times, from your workstation to your equipment – attention to detail is essential.
  • Monitor ingredients and stock levels, making sure the pastry section is always ready for service.
  • Support menu development by contributing fresh ideas, seasonal specials, and new dessert concepts.
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring every product is prepared and stored correctly.
  • Assist in training junior team members, sharing skills and helping maintain high kitchen standards.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • A passion for culinary excellence and a drive to create memorable dining experiences.
  • Proven experience in a busy kitchen, ideally in a Pastry Chef de Partie role or similar.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle high‑paced service with ease.
  • Creativity and a keen eye for detail when it comes to plating and presentation.
  • Team spirit, supporting the brigade to keep standards high and service smooth.
  • Dedication to cleanliness, food safety, and upholding health regulations.
