Reporting to the Executive Head Chef, a Chef de Partie will be responsible for preparing, presenting and serving food to the required standards, managing kitchen sections, ensuring health & safety, and supporting the kitchen brigade in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all food items are prepared, presented and served to the standards required under the guidance of the Senior Sous Chef and Executive Head Chef.
- Receive goods ordered and check that items supplied meet the required standard and quality. Inform the Head/Sous Chef of any discrepancies.
- Assist the Sous Chef and other kitchen brigade members as required.
- Maintain health & safety standards and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in a similar role at Chef de Partie or commis level.
- Ability to manage various sections of the kitchen while ensuring health & safety standards are met.
- Passion for food, willingness to learn and a positive can-do attitude.
- Team player able to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong understanding of quality control and kitchen standards.
- Adherence to company rules, regulations, fire, hygiene, health & safety and licensing regulations.
