A Day in the Life of a: Sales Manager at Our Hotel
What you\\\’ll be doing…
- Develop Sales Strategies: Create and implement plans to attract new clients and increase bookings.
- Identify New Client Opportunities: Research and pursue opportunities in corporate, leisure, and group.
- Build Client Relationships: Maintain strong ties with Meetings and Events agents, corporate clients, event planners, and local businesses.
- Negotiate Contracts: Handle agreements for M&E and M&E group bookings, conferences, corporate and social.
- Coordinate Internally: Work closely with the internal and External Marketing Teams, Director of Sales, Revenue management, and Sales Team to align goals and activity.
- Monitor Performance: Track sales metrics, analyze trends, and adjust strategies to meet targets.
What We Need From You
- We will need you to be: Playful, Simple, Honest, Authentic, Quirky, Imaginative, Unpretentious, Natural, Kind.
- Minimum of 2 years Sales Experience (preferably within the hotel industry) with a proven record of achieving sales targets and managing client relationships effectively
- The ability to inspire and develop a sales team to meet ambitious goals
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and persuasive approach
- In-depth understanding of sales principles and strategies, with experience in strategic planning, forecasting, and performance analysis
- Proficiency in CRM software (such as Salesforce or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to generate and analyse sales data
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with a keen eye for detail to ensure mutually beneficial agreements
- Highly organised, able to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work outside of regular hours, including evenings and weekends, and attend off-site meetings or events as required
- A positive, proactive approach with the ability to identify and act on new opportunities in line with hotel objectives
