Our Hotel operates from a dual-branded site in Dundee, Hotel Indigo and the Staybridge Suites. The complex comprises 85 long-stay apartments and 102 boutique hotel rooms with a full-service restaurant called Daisy Tasker and our recently refurbished stylish bar Eighteen22. We are set in a 19th-century converted linen mill with a salute to its industrial heritage while maintaining its key features. A Day in the Life of Maintenance Assistant at Our Hotel:
Maintaining our hotel’s high standards, ensuring every guest space, facility, and behind-the-scenes area operates flawlessly and looks pristine. Carry out short-term (reactive) maintenance work e.g. repairs affecting guest bedrooms and services as a matter of urgency while adhering to all safety procedures and causing minimum disruption to guests. Use, operate and store all tools, equipment and materials safely and securely to comply with statutory regulations e.g. COSHH. Maintain operational standards to the highest possible level in respect of service, hygiene, health and safety and ensure that there is minimal wastage.
What We Need From You:
- Solid experience in a maintenance role, ideally within hospitality or a similar setting.
- Expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and general building maintenance, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Organisational and multitasking abilities to juggle a range of responsibilities and respond quickly to urgent issues.
- Flexibility to respond to urgent repairs, including availability for occasional evenings, weekends and on-call duties.
- A passion for maintaining a safe, well-functioning environment that enhances the guest experience.
