We are looking for an exceptional General Manager to lead AC Hotel by Marriott Glasgow into its next chapter of success.

This is a rare opportunity to take charge of one of Glasgow's most exciting lifestyle hotels.

Located in the heart of Glasgow's vibrant city centre, AC Hotel by Marriott Glasgow is a contemporary 4‑star hotel featuring 245 stylish guest rooms and suites, offering guests a seamless blend of modern design, exceptional comfort, and intuitive service.

As part of the globally recognised Marriott International family, the hotel benefits from world‑class brand recognition while maintaining a strong local identity that reflects the energy and character of Glasgow.

THE ROLE

As General Manager you will be responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and strategic direction of the hotel.

Working alongside RBH’s specialist support teams and Marriott brand partners, you will be accountable for driving revenue growth, delivering exceptional guest experiences, maximising profitability, developing your team, and ensuring operational excellence across all areas of the business.

  • Work closely with Revenue, Sales & Marketing teams to drive demand and profitability Maximise the commercial potential of Collector Hall and all hotel revenue streams
  • Monitor business performance and implement strategies to continuously improve results
  • Delivering Exceptional Guest Experiences
  • Ensure consistently outstanding guest service across all areas of the hotel
  • Drive guest satisfaction, loyalty, and reputation scores
  • Maintain Marriott brand standards and RBH operational excellence
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives through guest insight and feedback
  • Foster a culture focused on memorable guest experiences
  • Stakeholder & Owner Management
  • Build strong relationships with owners, investors, and key stakeholders
  • Provide detailed performance updates and strategic recommendations
  • Work collaboratively with Marriott, RBH support functions, and commercial partners
  • Represent the hotel within the local business community and hospitality sector
  • Operational Excellence
  • Oversee all operational departments to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, financial, health & safety, and company requirements
  • Drive quality assurance standards across the hotel
  • Lead innovation and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Proven experience as a General Manager, Hotel Manager, or senior operational leader within a quality hotel environment
  • Strong commercial expertise with a proven track record of delivering revenue and profit growth
  • Experience leading large, multi‑functional teams
  • Outstanding leadership and people development skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities
  • Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
  • Experience within branded hotels, ideally Marriott or a comparable international brand
  • A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with a hands‑on leadership style
