A Day in the Life of a Food and Beverage Ops Manager at Our Hotel

Role: This role contributes to RBH’s Purpose by controlling and overlooking a smooth and efficient operation of the food & beverage operational departments:

  • Fremantle Bar & Kitchen
  • Conference & Events Operations
  • Rooms Service

The F&B Ops Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Fremantle restaurant and bar area, working closely with the M&E Sales Manager, Executive Chef, reporting to the General Manager. This collaboration is intended to maximise trade across hotel outlets and ensure service excellence. The role requires planning, attention to detail, and a strong partnership with all hotel departments, acting as the figurehead of Fremantle and taking personal responsibility for its successful operation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Help develop, support and implement a progressive F&B marketing strategy
  • Innovation with F&B products and standards
  • Manage staffing levels with attention to budget and business requirements
  • Establishing and maintaining stock levels and equipment
  • Establishing, monitoring and continuously improving Standard Operating Procedures
  • Training, coaching and development of the F&B team and M&E supervisor
  • Ensure achievement of budgeted profitability of all F&B operational departments under your control
  • Utilise F&B personnel across outlets to minimise payroll expenditure and ensure team flexibility
  • Ensure all employees receive regular training to update their skills and meet personal development needs
  • Maximise service opportunities for guests to encourage return visits
