Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue validation and posting of all revenue journals into the accounting system.
  • Cash control including preparation and posting of bank reconciliations, cash and credit card reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly P&L accounts (actual versus budget).
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, identify variances and risks, and take appropriate action.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly VAT returns and assist with VAT inspections.
  • Create year‑end audit files and liaise with auditors.
  • Maintain hotel payroll books and cheque deposits.
  • Support members of the finance team (e.g., purchase ledger).
  • Assist GMs and hotel personnel in understanding and interpreting financial reporting; provide hotel finance training where needed.
  • Cover reception/bar shifts as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a finance background.
  • Front‑desk or guest services experience, ideally with people‑management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Organised and detail‑oriented, particularly with guest reservations and billing.
  • Team‑focused and collaborative, fostering a supportive environment for colleagues and guests.
  • Capable of making quick, confident decisions in a fast‑paced, guest‑facing role.
  • High energy, adaptability, and enthusiasm for a dynamic work environment.
