A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE DUTY MANAGER AT THE IMPERIAL HOTEL BLACKPOOL

What you\’ll be doing…

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following:

  • Maintain the highest standards of guest care, by offering a friendly, efficient, informal yet highly professional service. Meeting & greeting guests, dealing with guest complaints and comments.
  • Liaise with HOD’s to ensure that standards are continuously developed and maintained throughout the Hotel.
  • Maintain full knowledge of all inner workings of the Hotel, including room rates, hotel policies, VIP’s, hotel events and more.
  • Support Food & beverage departments, including functions and conferences
  • Support reception and nights teams as required
  • Continuously review team behaviour, appearance, and performance.

To succeed in the role of Duty Manager, you will need the following qualities and skills:

  • Strong leadership, management, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Prior experience of a similar sized operation, including F&B operations, weddings, conference & banqueting and front of house.
  • People focused, with strong attention to detail and the ability to lead from the front to ensure the team deliver a standard of service that meets the needs and expectations of our guests.
