A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COOK

What you'll be doing...

  • Shift pattern: 5pm-9pm Monday to Thursday, 16 hours per week
  • Preparing & cooking basic meals using microwaves, fryer and Merry Chef
  • Serving meals
  • Maintain a clean, organised kitchen
  • Clearing tables & pot washing
  • Ensuring food safety standards are met
  • Participate in regular cleaning duties to ensure all equipment and surfaces are kept spotless.

This is a multi-tasking role that requires the successful applicant to be responsible for the preparing, cooking and serving of meals as well as maintaining a clean kitchen.

  • Genuine interest in cooking
  • Some previous kitchen experience is a MUST, but a willingness to work hard and learn is essential.
  • Understanding of basic food prep techniques
  • Strong attention to detail, especially regarding cleanliness and food safety.
  • Team-oriented mindset, able to take direction well and support colleagues as needed.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, staying focused and reliable during busy services.
