AC HOTEL BY MARRIOTT GLASGOW – DIRECTOR OF EVENT SALES
In Summer 2025, we will unveil an exciting addition to our offerings—a state-of-the-art event space as part of a new development. Part of the exiting Love Loan Development, The “Collector’s Hall,” is steeped in history as part of the iconic Parish Halls, will combine historic charm and modern luxury to create a stunning backdrop to any event.
ABOUT THE ROLE: DIRECTOR OF EVENT SALES
As Director of Event Sales, you will be the face of our new development, promoting The Collector’s Hall and reporting directly to the General Manager. Key responsibility will be to lead the sales strategy and drive revenue in our banqueting & conference segments. This is an exceptional opportunity for a visionary sales leader to shape the future of our unique venue and establish it as a market leader.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DIRECTOR OF EVENT SALES AT AC HOTEL BY MARRIOTT GLASGOW:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to maximise revenue and grow market share in MICE, events, and weddings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, local businesses, and partners.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and PR team to create and execute promotional campaigns, including the launch of the “Collector’s Hall”.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Conduct regular market analysis to stay ahead of trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process for large-scale events, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Represent the venue at networking events, trade shows, and industry forums to promote our brand.
