A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FOOD, BEVERAGE AND KITCHEN MANAGER AT OUR HOTEL
Oversee daily operations in the restaurant, coffee shop & kitchen, ensuring the departments are running smoothly and efficiently. Lead and manage staff, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high levels of service. Monitor guest feedback and address any complaints or concerns promptly, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction. Review financial performance, including key metrics such as F&B revenue, and implement strategies to improve profitability. Ensure the restaurant & kitchen meets or exceeds quality standards for cleanliness, maintenance, and guest safety through regular inspections and evaluations. Coordinate the kitchen to keep things moving like clockwork, from orders to plating. Scheduling and shift planning, making sure the team is prepared and ready to go. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and HR to align operational goals with overall business objectives and maximise revenue. Monitor stock levels, manage inventory & ordering, ensuring we’re set up for success every shift. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations; lead staff training on emergency procedures and best practices. Maintain clear communication and coordination between departments to ensure a seamless guest experience and operational efficiency.
What We Need From You
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
- Strong experience in F&B operations, with a deep understanding of Kitchen operations.
- Excellent financial acumen, including the ability to support with budgets, monitor performance, and implement cost-control measures.
- A guest-centric mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional service and resolving guest issues promptly and professionally.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of thinking on your feet and addressing operational issues quickly and efficiently.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and senior management.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
This role will cover some mornings, evenings & weekends.
