Responsibilities

  • You will be working alongside the Conference Manager, taking a daily handover to run your event through the afternoon and into the evening.
  • As Banqueting Manager, you will be responsible for working with the Chef and your Banqueting team members to deliver wedding and banqueting events and residential conference dinners, ensuring all logistics and operations run smoothly and align with client expectations.
  • Oversee room setups, AV requirements, and staff coordination to create a seamless guest experience.
  • Lead, train, and motivate the evening teams to deliver exceptional food and event service with a "Yes is the answer, what's the question" mindset.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the team during events, ensuring swift resolution of any issues.
  • Act as the face of Wotton House on event days, ensuring every client feels valued and supported.
  • Build strong relationships with clients on site, ensuring their vision is flawlessly executed.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, coordinators, and other departments to ensure events transition smoothly from planning to execution.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to maintain the highest service standards.
  • Anticipate challenges, identify solutions, and ensure every detail is meticulously managed for a flawless guest experience.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in event or banqueting management within a luxury or boutique hotel setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire a team and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding service and a commitment to exceeding guest expectations.
