Location: Canvey Island

The Role:

As a Vehicle Collection Driver Class 1, you’ll be responsible for collecting accident damaged vehicles from various customer and client locations. Using specially designed salvage/recovery trucks and a vehicle winch when required, you’ll ensure safe and compliant loading, securing and unloading of vehicles at all times.

You’ll also accurately measure and record vehicle heights before each journey, ensuring full compliance with height, weight, and road safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect allocated vehicles from client and customer locations
  • Load, secure and unload vehicles safely
  • Follow all legal and company driving regulations
  • Accurately measure and record vehicle heights before every journey
  • Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues
  • Maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and customer service

What You’ll Need:

  • Valid Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
  • Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Minimum 6 months HGV driving experience
  • Previous recovery or car transporter experience is advantageous (full training provided)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Safety-first mindset with excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, organised, and reliable
