What is the opportunity?
You will be a Senior Officer in Fiduciary Management, supporting the management of fiduciary structures within RBC International Trusts (Int’l Trusts) business. You will work closely with the Client Handling Team to deliver exceptional service, ensure regulatory compliance, manage designated portfolios of fiduciary structures, and mentor team members.
Job Description
This is a permanent, full-time role (5days - 36.25 hours) and requires at least 4 days in the Jersey office.
What will you do?
- Oversee a designated portfolio of fiduciary structures (trusts, companies, foundations, nomineeships), ensuring full compliance with internal policies and regulatory obligations
- Manage, mentor and coach team members within your area, supporting their development and succession readiness
- Ensure fee reviews are undertaken within renewal deadlines and support delivery of work in progress (WIP) recovery and fee targets
- Monitor fiduciary risks and KPIs, conduct regular reviews of WIP and debtors to ensure recoverability
- Identify new business opportunities and refer them to the Relationship Manager and/or Fiduciary Specialist Team, supporting business development initiatives
- Lead governance processes, compliance requirements and escal risks appropriately
- Uphold fiduciary excellence through best-in-class delivery, leveraging RBC’s global resources and internal partnerships
- Champion professional standards and support the PCFS operating model aligned to the business plan
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Demonstrable understanding of Jersey Financial Services Regulations, trust and company law, and taxation in a fiduciary context
- Strong knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML) and know your customer (KYC) requirements
- Extensive experience in fiduciary management, governance, structuring and risk mitigation
- Robust financial acumen and legal and regulatory framework understanding
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to build effective relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Excellent attention to detail and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Nice-to-have
- Category B level qualification (or working towards it) under Jersey Financial Services Commission Regulations or Guernsey Financial Services Commission Codes of Practice
- Experience in a fast-paced fiduciary or wealth management environment
