Job Description
We have an excellent opportunity for a Paraplanner to join the team in London. As a Paraplanner, you will have a broad understanding of core Financial Planning solutions and build knowledge through exposure to client planning scenarios. You will analyse our clients\’ aims and needs to construct solutions as a tool for advisors to communicate to clients.
RBC’s expectation is that from mid-September 2025, all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.
What will you do?
- Provides appropriate support for Financial Advisers/Financial Planners.
- Facilitates the smooth processing of new and existing business.
- Liaises with any administration support.
- Assists with monitoring the performance and work throughput of any administration support thereby ensuring standards are maintained and deadlines are met.
- Understands and complies with regulations and principles applying to the role and RBCBD policies and procedures.
- Adheres to Conduct Risk standards.
- Broad understanding of core Financial Planning solutions and building knowledge through exposure to client planning scenarios.
- Analyses client’s aims and needs to construct solutions as a tool for advisors to communicate to clients.
- Production of robust financial plans and analytical information in support of Financial Planners and Financial Advisers under supervision of more senior team members.

- CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent.
- Accuracy, numeracy, attention to detail.
- Clear and concise communication skills – oral and written.
- Ability to meet deadlines/work within restricted timescales.
