Job Description

What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a Financial Planner to join our team in Leeds. The team provides Financial Planning advice to a combination of our own private clients and integrated wealth management clients. We are looking for someone who is keen to play a significant contribution to the growth of this integrated Wealth Management environment.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for the development and subsequent management of a financial planning client base. You will lead business development activities, aligned to the group strategy and work to exceed targets. You will have a comprehensive understanding of core Financial Planning solutions and will have built knowledge through exposure to various client planning scenarios.

What will you do?

  • Management of a client base, developing and maintaining existing client relationships whilst further increasing business with the generation of new clients.

  • Proactively represents FP function internally and RBC Brewin Dolphin externally to develop and positively influence the firms position within the marketplace.

  • Develop your network through seeking opportunities with current, new and potential clients.

  • Drive efficiency within the office/team to sustain business growth while ensuring fair client outcomes.

  • Provision of regulated advice across all standard licenced areas.

  • Produce (where appropriate) financial solutions to meet clients’ needs and delivers ongoing monitoring and review, making changes where appropriate to deliver continued suitability of investments.

  • Responsible for ensuring ongoing client suitability.

  • Manage all actions consistent with the advice given to clients.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • CII Level 4 Diploma or equivalent

  • Maintain SPS in line with professional body requirements.

  • Significant previous experience as a Financial Planner

  • Good communication skills – oral and written

Nice-to-have

  • Ideally working towards, or obtained, CII Level 6 Advanced Diploma or equivalent.
