Overview

The Global Equity Quantitative Analyst team is responsible for providing the mathematical backbone for trading, risk management, structuring teams and additionally quantitative solutions for regulatory requirements for RBC Global Equity Business.

You will collaborate with traders, structurers, technologists and risk management to develop models used for pricing and risk management, design infrastructure, optimize trading strategies, and support real-time decision-making in a fast-paced front office environment. It is a great opportunity to deepen your expertise from experienced traders and quants in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop mathematical models for pricing and risk management.
  • Work side-by-side with traders to solve real trading challenges.
  • Collaborate with various front-office teams (traders, sales, structurers) to provide quantitative support for new products.
  • Partner with internal technology team to implement analytics infrastructure and integrate models into production environment.
  • Enhance and adapt existing models for market dynamics and emerging risks.

What you need to succeed Must have

  • Master’s/PhD degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or related field, with solid working experience in a quantitative role.
  • Experience of large programming libraries.
  • Expertise in C++ and Object Oriented Programming, hands-on experience with python; grasp of calculus and stochastic calculus.
  • Understanding of securities like swaps, indices, futures, ETFs, and options
  • Analytical mindset, strong attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Capable to deliver robust, well-tested solutions within tight deadlines.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience of quantitative investment strategies
  • Experience of scripting languages for Monte-Carlo pricing
  • Experience on advanced financial models
  • Knowledge on numerical methods for partial difference equation and Monte-Carlo simulations.
  • Expertise in C#
  • Familiarity with databases and infrastructure.
